Members of the Russian honor guard stand by after William S. Cohen, the US Secretary of Defense, arrived at Tuzla Air Base to visit Stabilization Force (SFOR) soldiers in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Secretary arrived on a C-17 Globemaster III from the 17th Airlift Squadron, Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina. In addition to this mission, the 17th Airlift Squadron is providing inter-theater transport capability to the former Yugoslavia region in support of Operation JOINT GUARD. JOINT GUARD is the multi-national peacekeeping mission that provides a climate of stability in the war-torn land of Bosnia-Herzegovina
