Both senators are visiting US forces involved in Operation Joint Guard. Operation Joint Guard is a peacekeeping effort by a multinational Implementation Force (IFOR), comprised of NATO and non-NATO military forces, deployed to Bosnia in support of the Dayton Peace Accords
