New Orleans, La., Nov. 7, 2012 -- The Recovery School District has constructed Arthur Ashe Elementary School, a state-of-the-art 97,000 square foot Kindergarten through 8th grade school at the previous site of Bienville School, which was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The project consists of a two-story facility with classrooms, science labs, library/media center, computer labs, arts and music facilities, performance space, a commercial kitchen, cafeteria, gymnasium, office and student support services spaces.
