OFF THE COAST, Sri Lanka (Nov. 24, 2016) A Special Boat Squadron Sailor smiles and gives a thumbs up after successfully conducting a visit, board, search, and seizure training during a Theater Security Cooperation training exercise at Sri Lanka Naval Base, Trincomalee, Nov. 24, 2016. The SBS Sailors worked alongside the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Maritime Raid Force, and conducted the training on a static and moving Sri Lankan naval ship. The 11th MEU, part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet’s area of responsibility in support of security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
