Operations SPECIALIST Third Class Mark Mahan watches an underway replenishment with US Naval Ships (USNS) Kanawha (T-AO 96) through the "big eyes" on the signal bridge of USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). The "Big Eyes" are a set of high powered binoculars that allow lookout watches to see great distances beyond their normal vision. TRUMAN is on station in the Arabian Gulf in support of Operation SOUTHERN WATCH. SOUTHERN WATCH establishes a southern no fly zone over Iraq and extends to the borders to just south of Baghdad, capital city of Iraq
