Panama City, FL -- (Mar. 7, 2019) Mr. Marty Walsh, site director for Naval Supply Command Fleet Logistics Center- Panama City is presented the Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award by Naval Support Activity Panama City commanding officer Cmdr. Jay Sego on behalf of the Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville. Mr. Walsh was cited for his outstanding meritorious service and superior performance of his duties while supporting the NSA Panama City Emergency Operations Center during Hurricane Michael recovery efforts. His team quickly and effectively provided fuel, food, and water support to the base, while also dealing with the destruction of their own homes by the Category 4 hurricane that struck the Bay County area Oct. 10, 2018.
