The event was part of a volunteer opportunity for the Marines and sailors of 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, who are currently deployed to the Republic of Korea for Korean Marine Exchange Program 15-15. The volunteer opportunity supported the local area outside of Camp Mujuk and built better community relations. Hall and Sloss are riflemen with Company E, 2nd Bn., 9th Marines, currently assigned to 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
