Royal Thai Marines and U.S. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron-172 and the local community position the first column in the foundation during opening ceremony for the construction of a multipurpose building at Ban Khunsong School in support exercise Cobra Gold 2012, Jan. 19, 2012. During the ceremony, the four columns were blessed symbolizing the good fortune and protection for the workers and future students. Cobra Gold provides a unique and dynamic training opportunity for participating military partners while also promoting relationships between militaries and local communities.

The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service.
