Description: Remote Manipulator System (RMS) arm is deployed above payload bay (PLB) doors fixed radiator panels and Office of Space Science (OSS) 1 unpressurized u-shaped Spacelab (SL) pallet with Vehicle Charging and Potential (VCAP) Experiment, Induced Atmosphere Experiment, Solar Ultraviolet Spectral Irradiance Monitor (SUSIM) and Solar Flare X-Ray Polarimeter Experiment (on the starboard side); Plasma Diagnostics Package (PDP), PDP antenna, and Contamination Monitor Package (CMP) (on the port side); and Thermal Canister Experiment (TCE) (in the center, above the other experiments) . Tail section, orbital maneuvering system (OMS) pods, and ocean and clouds of Earth's surface appear in the background.
