Description: Payload bay (PLB) equipment, payloads, and experiments include: remote manipulator system (RMS) stowed on port side sill longeron; get away special (GAS) canisters with U.S. Postal Service Special Philatelic Covers on port side wall; Development Flight Instrument (DFI) pallet with High Capacity Heat Pipe Experiment, additional philatelic covers in two large storage (mail) boxes, Evaluation of Oxygen Interaction with Materials (EOIM) experiment trays, Thermal Protection System (TPS) low temperature reusable surface insulation (LRSI) tiles, and advanced flexible reusable surface insulation (AFRSI) blanket in foreground; and Payload Flight Test Article (PFTA) behind DFI pallet. Top edge of spacecraft sunshield closed over thermal blanket-covered airborne support equipment (ASE) is visible above PFTA forward screen.
