Description: A view of the Tethered Satellite System 1 (TSS-1) in the payload bay of the shuttle orbiter Atlantis during the STS-46 mission. Visible are the Research on Orbital Plasma Electrodynamics, the Dipole-Field Antenna, the Langmuir Probe, the SSA 454 Ring, Satellite Deployment Boom and the top half of the satellite itself. Also visible are the Orbital Maneuvering System (OMS) pods, the vertical tail, the Remote Manipulator System (RMS) and an earth limb.
