Description: STS-49 Mission Specialist (MS) Kathryn C. Thornton (foreground - dashed stripe) and MS Thomas ``Tom`` Akers (opposite side of MPESS - diagonal stripe) work with a strut at the multipurpose experiment support structure (MPESS) during the construction of Assembly of Station by Extravehicular Activity (EVA) Methods (ASEM) structure in Endeavour's, Orbiter Vehicle (OV) 105's, payload bay (PLB). The two astronauts are building the ASEM structure during the mission's fourth Extravehicular Activity (EVA). The blue and white Earth is visible below.
