Liverpool, a Recruit Division Commander assigned to Officer Training Command, Newport (OTCN) in Rhode Island, is awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for the completion of his tour on Oct. 28, 2019. Liverpool’s next assignment is aboard the USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) based in Mayport, Florida. OCS develops civilians and fleet Sailors into newly commissioned officers morally, mentally, physically and imbue them with the highest ideals of honor, courage and commitment in order to prepare graduates for service in the fleet as Naval officers. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service.
