Several countries stand ready to raise their flags to kick off multinational training exercise Silver Arrow at Adazi Training Area, Latvia, Oct. 17, 2016. Silver Arrow is an annual, Latvian-hosted exercise comprised of Latvia, Germany, Lithuania, Estonia, Albania, the Netherlands, the UK, the U.S., the NATO Very High Readiness Joint Task Force Battalion and the NATO Baltic Battalion focused on multinational training and communication that will strengthen relationships between participating units and deter regional aggression in support of Atlantic Resolve. The U.S. and partner nations conducted land, sea and air exercises and maintained a rotational presence in order to reinforce NATO security commitments in Europe. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
