Shining a light on sexual assault

This illustration depicts Tech. Sgt. Matthew Hampton intervening after witnessing a young woman who was very intoxicated being led out of the bar by a stranger because he believed she was in danger of being sexually assaulted. Hampton is a Bystander Intervention Training instructor on Joint Base Charleston Air Base. BIT is mandatory for all active duty military and teaches the importance of recognizing the signs of a possible sexual assault and the right way in taking a stand against it. Hampton is also a 373rd Training C-17 maintenance instructor.
