Spartan Soldiers with the 2nd Battalion, 87th infantry Regiment and the 710th Brigade Support Battalion of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) welcome wounded warriors as they are transported by Special Forces Soldiers during a visit to Forward Operating Base Shank in Afghanistan May 28. The visit was part of a program called Operation Proper Exit which allows current and former soldiers wounded in combat an opportunity for closure as they recover from injuries incurred during previous deployments to Afghanistan.
