Spc. Cody J. Montalbano, a native of Rochester, N.Y., and mortuary affairs specialist with the 54th Quartermaster Company, stands and observes his team as they meticulously practice preparing a flag, Oct. 17, 2013 at Bagram Air Field, Parwan province, Afghanistan. This final act by the mortuary affairs team signifies and upholds the highest military traditions for fallen heroes.
