Description: Photos taken to document the STS-86 extravehicular activity (EVA) include: Mission specialist Scott Parazynski prepares to test the hand controls on the Simplified Aid for EVA Rescue (SAFER) unit attached to his extravehicular mobility unit (EMU). The hand control can be seen in the open compartment in the corner of the SAFER (025-6). Close-up views of hand rails in the Atlantis's payload bay (027-8). Parazynski works with the SAFER's hand controls while standing in a portable foot restraint in the Atlantis's payload bay. An Earth limb can be seen behind him (029-32). View 029 was selected by PAO for release to the public.
