Students of the Arctic Aircraft Recovery School (a.k.a. "Kool School") sponsored by the 109th Airlift Wing (AW) take a break from their training. Students take part in a 4-day school preparing them for Arctic survival and recovery of disabled LC-130 aircraft. The school is located on the Ice cap of Greenland just three miles from the abandoned DYE II site, it was part of the DEW (Distant Early Warning) Line
