Task Force Kout Men Commander Col. Michael Borrel awards an Army Achievement Medal to Bastrop, La. native Spc. Chad Leggett, a soldier with Louisiana National Guard’s 528th Engineer Battalion, at the U.S. Army South New Horizons- Haiti 2010 Forward Operating Base during an Aug. 6 award ceremony. New Horizons, in partnership with the government of Haiti, is conducting medical, dental and engineering missions for the locals in Gonaives. New Horizons also provides valuable learning experience in a real-world environment for our U.S. Forces.
