Summary
The 9/11 Memorial Flag project leader Thomas W. During the ceremony, Maj. Gen. Eugene Chojnacki, Commander, New Jersey Air National Guard; Col. Brian Webster, 177th Commander and Lt. Col. Robert Meyer Jr., 108th Support Group Commander affixed the 177th, the 119th Fighter Squadron and 108th unit patches to the flag. The flag, which measures 22x32 feet and was created by the group United We Stand, United We Sew; is comprised of 2,972 miniature American flags, inscribed with the names of the individuals who died in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
