The guided missile cruiser USS San Jacinto (CG 56) (right) and an SH-60B Seahawk helicopter from the Nightdippers of Anti-Submarine Squadron Five (HS-5) come to the aid of the Saudi container ship Saudi Hofuf in the Gulf of Oman, March 21, 1996. The Saudi Hofuf was rapidly taking on water and in danger of sinking due to a ruptured seal in the main spaces. The San Jacinto sent over a party of damage control men and engineers who aided in efforts to keep the ship afloat. Navy helicopters aided in evacuating non-essential personnel from the stricken vessel. USS San Jacinto is part of the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) battle group
