Three AGM-154 Joint Standoff Weapons (JSOW) are staged in one of many weapons bays below deck, awaiting transportation up to the flight deck to F/A-18s onboard the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). The JSOW is a precision-guided weapon that will allow naval aircraft to attack targets at increased standoff distances, greatly increasing aircraft survivability.
