U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Robert Huelsman, from the 183d Wing, based in Springfield, Ill., participates in an Easter Sunday Sermon at the Thompson Center, Chicago, April 12, 2020. Huelsman is part of the State Unified Area Command-North which consists of approximately 22 Airmen from the 183d Wing, based in Springfield, Ill., the 126th Air Refueling Wing, based at Scott Air Force Base, and the 182nd Airlift Wing, based in Peoria, Ill., along with 2 soldiers from the Joint Force Headquarters, also based in Springfield. The SUAC-N is assigned as a planning coordination cell assisting the state’s response to COVID-19 in the Chicagoland and outlaying areas by coordinating with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency along with other state agencies.
