U.S. Army Spc. Maria Medina, a California Army National Guard soldier with Pittsburg-based 870th Military Police Company, blocks traffic from entering the town of Healdsburg, California, Oct. 28, 2019 after an evacuation order was given to multiple towns in the vicinity of the Kincade Fire in Sonoma County. The California National Guard activated 470 service members to support efforts to fight the fires that have spread over 66,000 acres in the northern part of the state.
