US Army STAFF Sergeant David Mullins, Bravo Company, 12th Air Defense Artillery, Ft. Polk, Louisiana, marshals a CH-53 Chinook with an Avenger unit slung underneath as it approaches the insertion point at Condron Army Air Field. The Avenger unit is a High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) with a turret mounted Stinger launcher module. The Chinook will first bring the Avenger to the ground and release the cable, then it will land beside it to off-load the force protection and Avenger personnel
