U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Robert Novak, from Temple, Texas, 3rd Platoon, Battery A, 2nd Battalion, 377th Parachute Field Artillery Regiment, Task Force Spartan, calls for a member of the Afghan Border Police to slow down on the route up to Observation Post 11 outside Forward Operating Base Salerno, Feb. 3. The 3rd Platoon partnered with members of the ABP and the Afghan Uniformed Police to execute a call-for-fire exercise from the top of OP 11, an important procedure that calibrates large weapons, in this case the M-777 155 mm howitzers on FOB Salerno.
