U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Ross Alewine gives a fist bump to spectators as Team Army is introduced during the opening ceremony, June 2, 2018, at the U.S. Air Force Academy’s Falcon Stadium at the 2018 Department of Defense Warrior Games, June 2 - 9. The DoD Warrior Games is an adaptive sports competition for wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans. Approximately 300 athletes representing teams from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Special Operations Command, United Kingdom Armed Forces, Canadian Armed Forces, and the Australian Defence Force will compete in archery, cycling, track, field, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair basketball, and - new this year - powerlifting and indoor rowing.
