US Navy Admiral (ADM) Joseph W. Prueher, Commander in CHIEF U.S. Pacific Command, meets with US Air Force Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Elwood Johnson, "Mayor" of the temporary housing complex at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, during OPERATION PACIFIC HAVEN. Pacific Haven, a joint humanitarian operation conducted by the U.S. Military, evacuated over 2,100 Kurds from Northern Iraq. The evacuees will be housed temporarily at Andersen AFB, Guam, while they go through the immigration process for residence into the United States. The Mayor, a US Military Liaison Officer, serves as a representative for the evacuees while they are on Guam
