Water is used to condition a large hose on the Steam Ship PETERSBURG, a US Navy tanker ship at sea just outside of the Port of Pohang in the Republic of Korea, on Oct. 21, 1998. The PETERSBURG is the main player in an exercise that will use the hose to pump petroleum products to the shore line in support of Foal Eagle '98. For the Foal Eagle exercise, only fresh water will be pumped through the ocean. Foal Eagle '98 is a deployment exercise that takes place once a year in Korea
