The crew from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 28 (HSC-28), Naval Air Station (NAS) Norfolk, Virginia (VA), is using a USN MH-60S Knighthawk to recover survivors from the flooded city after Hurricane Katrina passed through. The Navy's involvement in the Hurricane Katrina Humanitarian Assistance Operations is led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the Department of Defense (DoD)
