CAPT. Doug Schaare, F-16CJ pilot assigned to the 389th Fighter Squadron at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, poses near his aircraft. He is a SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses) pilot. The F-16CJ is equipped with HARM (High-speed Anti-Radiation Missiles) and the Maverick AGM-65 air-to-ground missiles. The instructors wear Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) it detects if they are shot by the defenders. They are also armed with 5.56 M16A2 assault rifles with MILES attachments. The 99th GCTS trains all of Air Combat Commands Security Forces on base defense in a hostile environment, and is the oldest school on ground air base defense tactics in existence
