Ceremonies - France - Mothers' Day celebrated at the Officers' Club in Paris, France, 1918. Mothers' Day was commeorated at the American Officers Club in Paris, and a great Military gathering. Ambassador Sharp, Marshall Joffre, General Johnson, Chief of staff of American forces in France and numerous others prominent in diplomatic and military services visited the club

American Red Cross - I thru M - Major Langdon P. Marvin of New York, Deputy Commisioner for Great Britain of the American Red Cross. Major Marvin is a New York Lawyer, and is also President of various Harvard bodies, including the Harvard Club of New York. He is affectionately known to his colleagues in the Red Cross as the "Chief of Staff."
