At the entrance to Cheyenne Mountain Air Station, the ORI scenario was: "Workman down with broken ankle on roof of air conditioning mechanical bay." Responding to the radio call, the fire department, after locating the victim, put a splinter on his legs, placed him onto a stokes litter, rigged a hoist and performed a vertical rescue by lowering him off the roof for transport to the hospital.
