On March 17, 2006 soldiers from Bravo, 2-22 Infantry from Military Police Liberty and Iraqi soldiers from 3rd Brigade, 6th Iraqi Army Division located on Forward Operating Base Constitution held a MEDCAP for citizens of Bassam Village. The MEDCAP was held at Kardum Shihan School near Route Whalers. The purpose of the operation was to assist with humanitarian Iraqi Army needs and develop targetable intelligence. Iraqi soldiers gave shoes, clothing, books, pencils, and other supplies to people at the MEDCAP.(U.S. Army photo by STAFF SGT. Kevin L. Moses Sr.) (Released)

The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt. NARA keeps those Federal records that are judged to have continuing value—about 2 to 5 percent of those generated in any given year.
