[Hurricane Katrina] Port Sulphur, LA, 3-13-06 -- FEMA's Mobile Emergency Medical Unit sits next to the old hospital that now sits in a 45 mile stretch with virtually no habitable houses or buildings and was under twenty feet of water following the storm.  The new clinic brought in by FEMA will be operated by Plaquemines Parish with the assistance of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt. NARA keeps those Federal records that are judged to have continuing value—about 2 to 5 percent of those generated in any given year.
