Members of the United Nations Honor Guard carry the remains of soldiers found in Korea. The remains were found in North Korea around the city of Pyongyang, within Unsan and Kujang provinces, near the Chong Chon River and around the Chosin Reservoir. In all, 17 bodies were discovered. The United Nations held a Repatriation Ceremony upon their return to NATO soil. The ceremony consists of a 21-gun salute, a prayer, a bagpipe tribute, and a wreath tribute from the local VFW Post

The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
