The end result from the blast of C-4 plastic explosive caused excessive damage to the row wheels that had been placed in the turret of the T55 Russian tank, by the Explosive Ordnance Detachment team, on Camp Dobol, Bosnia, during Operation JOINT GUARD. On December 20, 1996, the Implementation Force (IFOR) mission came to a conclusion and the 1ST Infantry Division was selected to continue serving in Bosnia as part of the new Stabilization Force (SFOR). This is the inside of the T55 Russian tank where the C-4 plastic explosive charges were placed, by the Explosive Ordnance Detachment, that will destroy the turret and render it useless. This took place in the field artillery area of operation on Camp Dobol, during Operation JOINT GUARD. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service.
