Stirling, N.J., April 20, 2013 -- Stakes, used to support the soon-to-be-planted tree saplings, were purchased by residents of Long Hill and Chatham Townships at an additional charge.  Over eight hundred saplings were sold during the event, which, after planting, will help to restore the forest ecosystem in part of the area impacted by Hurricane Sandy last October.  The Morris County Conservation District, Long Hill Shade Tree Commission, Chatham Environmental Commission and their Township Committees worked together to arrange this program. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
