The Kumaka Regional Hospital that services Amer-Indians living in isolated and remote villages in the Guyana rain forests. Due to lack of funding, the hospital has received little maintenance, and its damaged solar power supply remained inoperable for several years, leaving the doctors to practice with only limited generator power. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
