Released. ACOE photographer Norris Jones of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Six new primary healthcare centers in Sadr City are taking shape. They are currently between 20 to 40 percent complete under contracts totaling $3.7 million and are scheduled to open later this year. Each is a two-story, 1,155 square meter facility providing space for medical/dental examination and treatment, x-ray capabilities, vaccination, testing lab, pharmacy, and public education. A U.S. Navy Corpsman assists a wounded Iraqi civilian found in the Al Jumhoria Medical Clinic, at Fallujah, Iraq, on the 16th of Nov. 2004, after Multinational forces pressed into the city to battle the entrenched insurgents. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service.
