The US Navys (USN) Improved Modular Lighterage System (INLS) ramp module loaded on a barge for transit from New Orleans, Louisiana (LA), to Coronado (CO), California (CA) for testing by Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific (EWTGPAC) and Amphibious Construction Battalion One (ACB-1). The INLS is a redesign of a floating dock system originally used during World War II (WWII). The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service.
