A search for soldiers to serve as contestants on the show is being conducted throughout the Operation Joint Endeavor theater. A mass test, consisting of fifty questions, is given to all who want to try out. The level of difficulty for the questions ranged from the show's $800 to $1000 categories. Ceremonies - Preparedness Day, May 1916 - Highlanders, Gayly kilted, arrive in New York to spur British recruiting. Two hundred and fifty Gordon and McLean Highlanders brought Fifth Avenue to its street windowns to view the passing of the Scotsman as they swung down the thoroughfare headed by their bagpipers. They were the chief attraction of British Recruiting Week beginning July 16, 1917. A big rally on Friday night at Madison Square Garden wound up the weeks activities. Lord Northcliffe and James M.
