They replaced smaller, dome style tents. Recipients praised the flexibility of the new tents. The walls can be raised or lowered as needed. The can be closed for privacy. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
