Mr. Alemayehu Mekonin (left), a Water Engineer at the Gode Waste Water Treatment Facility, greets US Navy (USN) Commander (CDR) Paul Vandenberg, an Engineer assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 7 (NMCB-7), as he arrives at the Facility in Gode, Ethiopia (ETH). Mr. Mekonin is overseeing a construction project to add capacity to the area's water treatment ability. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
