Right rear view of the open cargo doors on the tail of a USAF C-130 Hercules cargo plane. A large four-wheeled forklift removes a pallet of cargo from the rear of the C-130. In the foreground is a strapped down pallet with bags of grain. The aircraft and its crew are from 179th Airlift Group, Ohio Air National Guard, Mansfield, Ohio. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt. NARA keeps those Federal records that are judged to have continuing value—about 2 to 5 percent of those generated in any given year.
