"Norman, Okla., November 7, 2013 -- Members of FEMA Corps Team Hickory 3 viewing the National Weather Center's (NWC) 'Science on a Sphere' during a tour of the center's campus in Norman, Oklahoma. Nicole Robertson, Program Manager at the NWC's Office of Weather Programs & Projects, explains the sphere is a global display system that uses computers and video projectors to display looped, animated images of atmospheric storms, climate change, and ocean temperature onto the six foot diameter sphere. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
