Members of the Army's 82nd Airborne Division Fort Bragg, North Carolina, jump from a C-17 Globemaster III, 15th Airlift Squadron Charleston AFB, South Carolina. The jump was part of the 82nd Airborne Division Associations annual convention in downtown Charleston Aug. 8-12. 300 members of the 82nd exited from C-17s in six passes, 50 rs at a time. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service.
