"The United States has agreed to provide a force of approximately 6,900 U.S. Service member to help maintain a capable military force in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Air Force B-2 Spirit, B-1 Lancer, and B-52 Stratofortress, bombers expended more than 80 percent of the tonnage dropped on combat missions over Afghanistan to date. The Air Force flew more than 600 sorties including strike missions against al Qaeda and Taliban targets in Afghanistan. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt. NARA keeps those Federal records that are judged to have continuing value—about 2 to 5 percent of those generated in any given year.
