A child holds a small American flag while onboard the US Navy (USN) Military Sealift Command (MSC) USNS MERCY (T-AH 19) during the ship's humanitarian and civic assistance visit at Chittagong, Bangladesh (BGD). The USN ship is on a scheduled five-month deployment in Southeast Asia. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
